About this Site

This Web site is intended eventually to be a clearing house of information relevant to the processes of aging in America.  It is dedicated to exploring and illuminating all aspects of aging and all forms that aging takes, from the healthiest Third Agers to those who survive incapacitated.  The stereotypes of aging are rampant forms of discrimination in the United States, and this site is dedicated to dismantling these stereotypes.  It is intended to be a forum where the aging themselves can define and project their own new models for being an elderly citizen in America and discuss these models.  Moreover, new models of retirement are emerging, and this site will explore these emerging models.  Recent research is also dismantling many ideas about the aging process, and this site will seek to keep you abreast of this new research.  The motto of this Web site is not "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" but rather "Embrace all hope, ye who enter here."

This site is still under construction, though it already provides hundreds of links to relevant sites.  To facilitate this ongoing process, please make your contributions through the "Visitor Response Page."  Your contributions will make this site what is intended to be:  a place to exchange, find, and add to information on the processes of Aging in America.

Eventually this site will allow the aging to communicate with each other around the world through a variety of chat rooms.  Membership will also be available with e-mail, homepage, family photo albums, Web site, and other options.  Here is a preview of some current highlights of this Web site.  Click on each for more details.
